The independent rating agency "Credit-Rating" (Kyiv) declared that "Megabank" PLC (Kharkiv) was given the long-term credit rating of "uaA-".

The official site of the agency reported that during the analysis the agency "Credit-Rating" used the financial reporting of "Megabank" PLC within 2003-2006 and the first quarter of 2007, and also the internal information, given by the company during the rating process.

The rating of the borrower of "uaA" represents high ability of the borrower to meet its debentures in the conditions of the Ukrainian financial market. Among the factors which support the level of the credit rating, the agency specifies that during recent years the bank has successfully been diversifying its activity and developing its retail business, in particular "Megabank" created and operates the common system of payment for utility services (in 2006 the amount of personal accounts in the base of the Common Settlement Centre (CSC) increased for 134 thousand up to 1,63 million, in 2006 the amount of organizations, which the CSC has been working with, increased for 56; in 2005-2006 the amount of payments through the CSC system exceeded 17,3 million).

In addition, during the last five years the assets of "Megabank" increased in 5,69 times and made 1,34 billion UAH, besides the growth of the basic groups of assets and liabilities was proportional and balanced, and on April, 1 2007 the share of doubtful debt in the credit-investment portfolio of the bank made 0,6%, the share of overdue loans made 1,15%.
